Our client, a well-established brand is looking for a Cafeteria Manager to join their growing team!
Role overview:
The Cafeteria Manager will be focusing on the daily running of the general operations of the Café. The role comes with managing the staff with the aim of offering exceptional customer service and thus increasing brand awareness.
Main responsibilities will include:

  • The day-to-day running of the Cafeteria
  • Cash duties
  • Prepare and serve coffee and food
  • Providing Assistance in menu creation and supplier selection
  • Recruitment and training of the Cafeteria staff
  • Stock levelling and replenishment and reordering
  • Reporting and liaising with HQ regarding targets and potential sales growth
  • Budget and forecasting
  • Open and closing the shop
  • Management of roster schedule
  • Managing and maintaining the cafeteria’s ambience
  • Responsible for overall cafeteria cleanliness and hygiene 

Knowledge/ Experience required/ Person specificities:

  • Knowledge in Catering/Hospitality
  • Experience with food handling with actual Food/Beverage Handling Certificate
  • Knowledge in Menu preparation/Food display
  • Strong interpersonal skills: customer and quality service-oriented
  • Team player
  • Ability to manage a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Sales driven- strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organised- able to conduct stock takes, re-ordering of stock levels
  • Good knowledge over the Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel)
  • Strong administrative skills- reporting and liaising with Head Office
  • Able to interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner
  • Friendly and a people person
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Communicate and write fluently in Maltese and English
